Adopt a Shelter Cat!

Adopt a Shelter Cat!

ASPCA asks that potential cat owners consider adopting from a local animal shelter in June.

Approximately 3.2 million shelter animals are adopted each year (1.6 million dogs and 1.6 million cats). Because these animals risk being euthanized, animal rights groups want to urge pet owners to adopt these animals.
There are many reasons to adopt a cat. For starters, cats are independent and they don't need the owner to take them outside to go potty. They are lovable animals that can be played with inside our outside in a cat enclosure. Give them a ball of string or plush toys for entertainment. Let them chase a laser pointer!
Cats live longer than dogs (no, the nine lives thing isn't real) and will provide pet owners with many years of memories and companionship. This June, adopt a shelter cat from a local humane society.
