How To Keep Your Pets Safe and Happy this Thanksgiving

How To Keep Your Pets Safe and Happy this Thanksgiving

Everyone pigs out on Thanksgiving; and pets deserve a little bit extra during their Thanksgiving meal; but some Thanksgiving side dishes may be harmful to pets.

Here is a list of Thanksgiving foods not to feed dogs and cats:

  • Turkey Skin and Under-cooked Meat
  • Stuffing and Gravy
  • Cranberry Sauce
  • Green Bean Casserole
  • Turkey Bones
  • Bread Dough and Cake Batter
  • Mashed Potatoes
  • Fruit Salads

While it may be okay to give animals small amounts of turkey (free from bones), try to avoid giving them gravies, sauces, and anything that may contain high amounts of sodium or sugar including chocolates.
