to DIY projects, here is how to build a catio from EasyPetFence.com.

Cat Fence Starter Kit

At first, cat owners may be hesitant to invest in a cat fence. A popular question that comes to their minds is "Won't the cat crawl out?"
To give the cat owner peace of mind, we have created the most reliable cat fence on today's market for domestic cats called the Kitty Corral Cat Fence Kit. This complete cat fence system is a great starter kit for pet owners made from the same poly fence material as our puppy dog fences. It is guaranteed to keep cats in and deters them from clawing the fence. The top, also made from poly mesh, will stop birds from trying to hurt the cat; and the bottom is made from a wire fence to stop chewing and digging.

What if I already own a fence?

There's no reason why you can't convert your existing structure or fence into a large cat play area. As long as your structure is at least 5' tall, homeowners will be able to expand their cat fence unit with our Cat Containment Kit and overhang extenders. Homeowners only have to mount these fence extenders to existing fence line posts or to the walls of a garage, shed, or outbuilding and attach the fencing material. This is an easy-to-install DIY fence project!

Every Kitty Corral Cat Fence needs an access gate; which is why you’ll find lots of different gates for sale that match our cat fence systems. We offer cat fence gates in various heights to accommodate the height of your cat fence, and in many widths, so you can have a gate that’s large enough for you to pass toys, furniture, or landscaping equipment into the enclosure.

Unless you are installing overhang extenders on an existing cat enclosure, you’ll need our cat fence posts to install a cat fence. These fence posts for cat fencing feature a male end for attaching our overhang extenders, and use an easy-to-install ground sleeve system that eliminates the need for laborious post hole digging. Drive the ground sleeves into the ground using a drive cap, and slide your line post inside—it’s as simple as that. The fence line posts are black-coated to match your cat fence, and 1 3/8-inch thick.
