"Pawternity"Leave
The look on people's faces was priceless when a Minneapolis marketing company called Nine Hale announced changes to its employee benefits this summer. While companies try to retain as many employees as possible, this company is going above and beyond for it's people - and their pets.
The company in Minneapolis, MN is now offering fur-ternity leave for new pet parents to help get their pets acclimated to life in a new home. This benefit will allow the pet owner to stay at home with their new pet for one week; and work from home during this time.
“This is kind of a no-brainer,” said Allison McMenimen, a vice president at the company, Nina Hale, who helped devise the new policy. “The idea of offering benefits that just help keep employees at the office, that’s over.”
