Threat To Pet Health

Dogs and cats move slowly as they age - let's face it, we all do; but there are reasons that animals may be declining in health quicker than usual.

The biggest threat to pet's health is obesity. In the United States, over 60 percent of cats and 55 percent of dogs are overweight or obese, according to The Association for Pet Obesity. These results were based on a survey from the Association which studied over 2000 pets in 41 states.

Experts state that pets, like humans, need daily exercise and a strict dietary plan in order to shed pounds.

Pet owners that do not have time to take their pets to a dog park can build pet fencing in the yard for convenient animal play time.
