U.S. Dog Euthanization

U.S. Dog Euthanization

Approximately 6.5 million companion animals enter U.S. animal shelters nationwide every year. Of those, 3.3 million are dogs. If these young dogs get too old without being adopted by individuals, they risk euthanization to alleviate overcrowding in shelters.

Over 670,000 dogs are euthanized in the United States at animal rescues. While this heartbreaking number has declined in previous years, it is not good enough. Let's change this number to zero!

ASPCA and several animal shelters across the country are joining together in October to advocate for the humane treatment of animals and adoption from local shelters. Join EasyPetFence.com in the fight to remove all dogs from local dog shelters; and get them into loving homes.
