Yes, Wildlife Attack Pets

Pet owners beware: wildlife are known to attack pets throughout the year. 

They really don't mean to be aggressive; but they need to eat, too. Some wild animals, including coyotes, wolves and bears, will approach small dogs and cats if they are hungry enough. Even doe will attack companion pets to protect their young (fawns). Therefore, pet owners are encouraged to build fencing in the yard for pet protection against wildlife.

The fencing will need to be at least 6' feet high for pet security against wildlife encounters. This fence height will keep out wolves, coyotes and foxes; however, for deer deterrence, a 7.5' to 8' foot high fence is recommended.
